Week 7 - Welcome Home!

We got up early to drive up to LA to pick up Jasper and to take him to the vet down here for his first set of shots. Our intention was to bring Jasper back to LA as Vilasay and I were both out of town the following weekend. We couldn't do it - we couldn't say Bye to Jasper... so took him home instead. My sister picked him up later that week to puppy-sit for the weekend. Just for the weekend.

Vilasay nabs Jasper, already knowing full well at this point that he wouldn't be coming back.

On the car ride home, Jasper naps... happily... on Vilasay's foot. There is an air-conditioning vent right next to his face.

Once home, we help Jasper become situated with his new environment. He seemed to adapt quite well.

*gasp!*

Jasper also took very well to his new Raw Diet. Kibble what?

"Please sir, may I have some more?"

And of course, Jasper's "Aren't I the Cutest" Shot.

Week 6 - Final Weekend

Jasper will soon be old enough to start getting his necessary shots, at which point he'll be coming home with us!

Here Jasper poses with his brother, Seth. Of the four, these two looked the most alike. Jasper is the lighter of the two.

Post lunch nap with the siblings, puppy style.

Week 5 - Making our claim!

Originally, we didn't have intentions of raising a German Shepherd, but the more we visited with the pups, the more we grew attached. And laid claim to baby Jasper, that little oddball with his lazy eye.

Week 4 - With Siblings

During the next couple of weeks, the pups slowly started to open their eyes and walk. By week 4, they were bouncy balls of fur escaping their den and wandering into the new world called the Kwok's backyard. And they were named. If the group of names seem suspiciously familiar, it is because it is.

Nessie, the lone girl with three brothers (and the only black one):

Emmit, the biggest boy of the group (and very chipmunk-looking from behind):
Seth, the second biggest boy of the group (and similar in color to Jasper, but a bit darker):

and, our baby Jasper, the runt of the litter (yes, even behind his sister Nessie)...
